SMF attends the Car Finance Conference and Awards 2023

Earlier this month, the SMF team attended the annual Credit Strategy Car Finance Conference at Lancashire Cricket Club. The event is a staple in the industry calendar, attracting lenders, brokers and retailers in UK point of sale motor finance.

Our Managing Director, Simon Bayley, was invited to speak on a panel, discussing business continuity and crisis management alongside Neil Lloyd, JBR Capital, and co-chair, Oliver Mackaness, Billing Finance.

The panel was a fantastic opportunity for Simon to share valuable insights into business sustainability, and how to manage a business through the current economic times. Talking points included risks from CMC’s and how funding is impacted in the current climate.

After a busy day of networking and fascinating industry insights, we were thrilled to attend the Credit Strategy Car Finance Awards.

The prestigious industry awards are held annually to celebrate the best of the UK car finance industry. Those who make the shortlist undergo a rigorous judging process with a panel of expert judges from the world of professional finance and the team at SMF were over the moon to be listed as Finalists for Best Specialist Car Finance Provider 2023.

Entrants in this category were required to demonstrate how they champion an ethical, profitable, and commercially sustainable approach to offering specialist finance, and offer their target demographic a fair, good-value proposition. At SMF, our focus has always been to offer our customers budget-conscious finance that considers both their budget and circumstances, so it was fantastic to see our approach being recognised.
